Blackpink’s Jisoo Breaks Highest First Week Sales Record
Jisoo of K-pop group Blackpink broke the record for the highest first-week sales by a female K-pop soloist in Hanteo history. She released her first solo album and title track music video on March 31.
According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold 876,249 copies on its first day of release alone. The record was previously held by Jisoo’s teammate Lisa with her hit solo song The Lisa which managed to sell around 330,129 copies on its release day in 2021.
Even among groups, she is the female artist with the second highest first week sales, being beaten only by her own group Blackpink with their latest comeback called Born pink.
