Angelina Jolie apparently enjoyed her three-hour lunch with billionaire Rothschild heir David Mayer in Malibu, Calif. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, per Page 6.
In photos and video obtained by the outlet, the Maleficent star, 47, was seen smiling as she left celebrity hotspot Nobu with the 44-year-old British environmentalist by her side.
THE Lara Croft The actress was dressed in casual chic as she slipped on a sleek black dress with cutouts. Her hair was down as she teamed black heels and matching sunglasses; and carried his black coat in one arm.
Meanwhile, Rothschild, who is part of the world’s richest family, appeared in good spirits laughing with Jolie. He wore navy blue pants, a gray shirt, jacket, black loafers and funky striped socks.
Although the reason for their long lunch is unclear, the two could have met for work-related matters as well, as they both have interests in activism.
According to the outlet, Mayer de Rothschild is an environmental activist and worked as an ambassador for the Hyundai IONIQ, the first automobile built from the ground up and specifically available as a hybrid or electric car. According to his Instagram bio, he also wants to “warn and educate people about global warming.”
Meanwhile, Jolie worked with refugees for 20 years as a special envoy to the United Nations.
Jolie’s exit comes amid her pending custody and asset division issues in her divorce settlement with ex Brad Pitt. THE Mr. and Mrs. Smith the alumni were declared legally single in 2019, but were unable to finalize all the details of their divorce.
In the meantime, it is not known whether Mayer de Rothschild is single. According to New York Timeshe was married to Karina Deyko in 2020.
