Angela Bassett has been praised for comforting Austin Butler amid the reading of the Best Actor nominees, minutes before losing in her Best Supporting Actress category.
However, The Elvis star also lost to Brendan Fraser who won the trophy for The whale.
But fans were quick to praise the Marvel star for comforting the young actor as the clip went viral.
