Anderson Cooper reveals request made by Royals ahead of Prince Harry story
CBS’ Anderson Cooper has revealed that Buckingham Palace contacted his team ahead of the release of his explosive interview with Prince Harry, which aired in the US on Sunday January 8.
According to Mirror UK, Cooper confirmed his team first reached out to palace officials for comment on Prince Harry’s claims, then revealed the royals made a request before sharing their comments.
“His reps demanded that before they consider responding, 60 Minutes provide them with no report before airing it tonight,” Cooper shared.
The journalist also claimed that his team rejected the Palace’s request saying “it’s something we never do”.
It comes after Cooper’s explosive conversation with Prince Harry aired on January 8, two days before the Duke of Sussex’s explosive memoir was officially released. Sparewhich was leaked a few days earlier.
